Nissan GT-R has good acceleration but its nothing compared to Corvette ZR1.

ZR1 will own GTR any day.

Chevy Corvette ZR1: this is no comparison with the Nissan GT-R. The ZR1 truly is the American race car for many reasons. The ZR1 has a faster track speed, not to mention that it has a lesser stopping distance. To top it all off, the ZR1 looks better!

"The ZR1 and GT-R both go 0-60 at 3.8 seconds"

Not true. The GT-R with launch control activated has been tested with a 0-60 time of 3.2 seconds.

And yes, the ZR1 has clocked a faster lap round the 'Ring but you have to be one hell of a driver to actually make even half a lap round it. It's incredibly hard to drive fast. Which makes the GT-R so much better.

"So what "Murcie" is basically saying is that if you don't know how to drive you should pick the GT-R because it is easier to drive"

Exactly. The GT-R is easier to drive FAST. The ZR1 is bonkers, and takes a race driver to manhandle it around a circuit. The GT-R does not. The GT-R is more planted, safer, more practical, AND can be driven fast by the everyday person. And it's not f**king American.

ZR1 for me although i watch video after video that comment on the same thing about it, and that is the zr1 struggles to stay planted to the ground in anything but a straight line. i typically prefer a car that can carve a corner with control and poise versus going wild and requiring so much effort from the driver to not lose control. but you cannot argue what a beast the car is.

versus the GTR, i pick the ZR1.

ZR1....lighter, faster, similar fuel economy, better warranty and it handles better.

So what "Murcie" is basically saying is that if you don't know how to drive you should pick the GT-R because it is easier to drive. A Toyota Prius is easier to drive around the Nurburgring than the GT-R is because it is slower. The faster the car, the more skilled of a driver you must be to control it.

I would choose the ZR-1 everyday of the week and I have not personally driven the Nissan. My reasoning is simple though. There is no substitute for cubic inches, the power is amazing and the car driven reasonably is well refined. The Vette is the sexiest of the 2. You can buy any number of imports under $40K, add 5K worth of engine mods and smoke either of them so it's all in what your pupose is.

It is always great to see the car enthusiast answers against the i only like these cars answers.

To be fair both are really great cars, both fast around the ring to which would it matter to the people whom have answered as iam sure they would not be going flat out in Germany.

We could go tit for tat on these cars power wise and then on to handling issues but both are really great cars and myself cannot find fault with one to the other.

The Nissan GTR is a Nissan but it does attract a nice crowd,i see it at shows and even on the road tonight where people where turning to look at it and it does sit great on the road.
