I have never in my life paid more than £500 for a car. For me, they are for a purpose. I've had the cheapest motoring imaginable. If it breaks, bin it and buy another. They're ten a penny.

Also driven several models of

BMW mercedes ford citroen peugeot metro austin rover lada skoda vw seat fiat.

Most impresive build and reliability I have to say was the Honda.

Most fun to drive was a Seat Toledo VR (I think it was VR - sporty one with all the whistles anyway)

D when it comes to car ownership and what is best in maintenance my only choice is GM,My first car was a 1980 pontiac phoenix and it was a real nightmare due to shoddy construction and it was rated low in consumers choices for 1980's cars.In fact my advice to all you young people out there is this when it comes to US built cars the classics and older 1960"s and 70"s models are better built, computerized cars will make you broke moneywise, parts are expensive & this tells you something.
