Since GM filed for bankrupcy, North America owns GM. The U.S. government owns 60% and the Canadian govt. owns most of the rest.
So now Obama is in control. The good news is that GM will get to keep the Chevy Camaro and Chevy Corvette and Obama is helping rebuild the car company by hiring new people to run GM.
If you have a problem with your GM made car, and GM somehow goes out of business, take your car to a regular mechanic where they will order the parts needed for your car.
There are companies that make OEM parts for your car. OEM means they match the stock parts.
And as it says in the article I gave above, you keep the warranty until it expires. A Warranty is a promise. GM would still have to pay to fix everyone's cars under warranty.
